Default Daystar Lower Dash Switch Panel

Can anyone explain to me why the Daystar Lower Dash Switch Panel only works with an automatic? I have been looking at it and the only explanation I have been able to come up with is that when shifting into a forward gear (1, 3, or 5), that there may be some contact with the switches which could cause one of them to accidentally get switched... If I am completely wrong on this, will someone please explain to me why it won't work? Thanks.

Just get the A-Pillar post switch mount way more easy to access switches and looks legit

Just installed one of these on my 2013 auto trans. If you watch the youtube on install, it's old and shows the stock panel coming right out after you pop the clips; for newer jeeps you have to pop up the front part of the shifter console then the panel comes right out. The stock panel has a small lip that holds it which the Daystar does not.
