Default Daystar Lower Dash Switch Panel & 6-spd...

So, I purchased and attempted to install the Daystar switch panel. However, when I put the switches in and test fit the piece, I discovered that whenever I'd put the tranny in 3rd or 5th gear the shifter would turn off the two switches farest to the right! What good is a switch I can't use while driving??? Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions on how I may be installing it wrong?

On a similar side note, I broke BOTH clips from the dash, and daystar neglected to think that those might be important parts to include in the package. My dealership claims no clips for sale, and replacement dash panel is $40!!! Anyone have any suggestions or part numbers I can take them?

thanks but its different, I pulled the bottom panel to see if that would work.

I think the whole center section uses the same clips., I'll just steal one from that.

Same problem happened to me today. I replaced the 4 switches mounted on the daystar lower dash panel and now everytime i put the gear in 1 or 3 or 5 the gear stick and upper rubber boot pushes them downwards to switch off.

Not sure how to fic the problem.

I've heard of people taking the rubber boot off. That solves the problem but doesn't look all that great.
If you don't mind slicing into your Jeep a little bit, here is a write-up that I did for a different switch location using the Daystar panel.

There have been previous posts regarding the problems with that panel. I heard Cooltech is selling something very similar, but is not affected by the shifter.
