Default Daystar Tailgate bump stops

I currently have a 33 on my stock tire carrier. I have enough rattle to be annoying, but do not believe it is too much weight for the carrier. I was doing some searching for options other than an aftermarket carrier when I came across the Daystar Tailgate Bump Stops. They are supposed to be adjustable for a array of tire/wheel combinations. Just curious if anyone had any experience with them. I found them for $20, so I figure it's worth the gamble, if it gets rid of the rattle.

Be careful when you put the tire on. I ripped the nub off (the corkscrew piece that goes in the hole in the tailgate, which is all that holds the bumpstop on) the very first time I used them. They are inexpensive, but easy to break, and useless once that nub is gone.

I have them and think they work as advertised. I needed them when I went to wheels with a different backspacing. It left about about a 1" gap between the factory isolators and the tire. A quick trim of the Daystar isolators using a recip saw and they are a perfect fit to take up the space. I picked mine up at a local 4x4 shop for ~$16.

I also have them. They work and so far have lasted ~30k miles. We drive on very rough roads daily and the spare is still nice and snug.

I just mounted my 33's and noticed no rattle shimmy or other loose sounds...The firestone guy who mounted it even told me that there rear is pretty snug

I bought Bump stops thinking I would need them, looks like I dont

Anyone else not have a need for the bump stops with 33's ?

I have them too. They work good. Better than stock I think, because they're solid rubber and not hollow. I trimmed a little more than an inch off mine.

Make sure you leave them a little bit long. So you have enough lug sticking out to get the nut on a few turns. The tire will squish into them as you tighten the nuts down making it nice and snug.

I bought these with a relocation bracket for my 35s on stock wheels and they don't work.. I"m about 1-2" away. Had to find other spacers to wedge in there.. I'm getting rattle after 3k miles, which means I have to look at other options for the spare.. not sure what i'm going to do.
