Default Death thowes wobble

Hey guys,

I'm getting some vibration all over, but nothing dramatic. YET.

Trouble is i'm on the road as i write, with 450km ahead of me.

Is it really bad to try and tough it out for a bit, or am i basically tearing up my steering down there?

Thanks!

OME 2.5, 35'' tires, fox racing stabilizer.

Right now it sounds more like something has happened to unbalance your tire/wheel - lost wheel weight, mud/ice inside rim, etc...

did it start out this way or just begin? you may have lost a balance weight. are your tire balance weights clipped on or stick-on?

Start there..if it were really DW you wouldn't want to drive it at all

It just started this friday. I'm not sure about tire balance, because i seem to get it at various intensities and various speeds. Seems like unbalanced tires would be more constant a problem. I will still check as part of my troubleshooting.

I figured i did NOT have death wobble, but maybe some kind of precursor?

I know there's over an inch of play on my steering wheel, and the jeep constantly pulls left. I think my steering overall is clunky and needs attention. Maybe tune up everything down there and get that bolt kit everyone is talking about, before the vibration gets worse. Also change my balljoints, because i'm on stock ones at 80,000km with 35' tires.

i'd start at the balance, have them put on sticky weights not clip on I was always loosing the clip on, haven't had issues with sticky. Check that your wheel bolts are tight!

check all your bolts are torqued properly and that none of the bolt holes have become oblong and are allowing the bolt to shift. Also check that your steering stabilizer didn't shift. I'd be surprised if your balljoints are worn out but it's possible.
