death wobble..
That kinda narrows it down, I would think. No bumpsteer before the drop pitman/bracket, then it starts immediately after adding them.
I'm not really a fan of the EVO flip, since it just has you buying another weak 'stock' draglink instead of a beefier aftermarket, but at least the price was low. Should be a noticeable improvement over the dropped pitman setup.
You also mentioned that the caster was not as low as we would think. At 6+", I would think it is rather low. What are the numbers? (inquiring minds want to know...
)And the angles don't look bad at all. Since RC sells the bracket and and drop pitman together, it appears that they did the research to keep the bars parallel. (axle side bracket vs frame side causing the bumpsteer?)
Call around to your local shops and see if you can find a place that does free alignment checks. Not changing anything, just tossing it on the rack and printing the numbers.
For us to help with the diagnosis - You need to pinpoint what the actual symptoms are and when they happened.
With over 6 inches of lift and stock control arms, the caster has to be down at 2 degrees or something? (stock is around 4 degrees). To me, this is the biggest problem you are feeling.
BUT - if I read it right, you say your jeep drove fine like this. And it wasn't until after the drop pitman went on that you noticed the bad handling?
- if so, just remove the bracket and go back to the stock pitman. (you have to remove both, not just one). And then look in to any of the drag link flips on the market to use instead of the drop pitman.
Or - it was bad at 6", but you didn't really drive it to see how bad - and just noticed that it was worse after the pitman?
- if so, it is flightyness (low caster) that you are feeling, and not necessarily bumpsteer. Or, possibly a combination of flightyness (low caster) along with bumpsteer (from the pitman/bracket).
Either way, it is just guessing for us. You have to help with the diagnosis...

With the track bar and drag link you have to raise both ends (axle end bracket and drag link flip). Some poor designed kits will drop the track bar frame bracket and use a drop pitman arm.
You cannot install a drop pitman arm and an axle end track bar bracket with out having bump steer and bad handling.
I agree the caster is part of the equation too. It currently has to be near zero or beyond.
You really should remove the BB spacers and stick with the four inch springs.

Yeah i drove it before the pitman arm and no issue. And then i installed the arm and its been happening since. I also fixed my caster by installing my adj lower control arms.
I did a check on both wheel bearings no play.
I checked all the bolts on the control arm and track bar and all the front end.
I retorqued all the bolts. No oblong holes
I did a test run with my caster fixed. Still there.
I did notice my drag link is lower then my track bar. Also as soon as i installed my pitman arm my steering feels weird. Its a lot stiffer. And has weird handling.
I will remove the pitman arm and see if that does it. Then im going to have my tires re balanced. Or have beads put in. And an alignment done. Once i install the rest of my arms.

It happens when i reach a certian speed. From 70km to 100 and so on. No bumps nothing needed to cause.
If i shake the steering wheel attempting to cause it at 50km an hr. Nothing but some minor shaking. If i try it at 65km. It shakes and throws my tire around.
If i hit a small bump after 65km an hr. It wobbles.
When i drive on gravel the steering feels as if its trying to do its own thing. Pulls every little way and feels very stiff.
I did notice one thing. My steering stablizer one is blown and the other is weak. But i shouldnt need it to not have wobble.
I moved my control arms and made them 1.5" longer and it seems to be square or if not more. Ill make them longer if needed.
My question is, is having my pitman arm? Putting to much strain on my box. That it cannot handle the road?

I will be having an alignment done. But going to try and remove the arm first and see if its cured.
Can a blown front shock cause it? A long with a blown stablizer? ( i havent installed my old man emu on the front yet ).
