Default Death wobble help needed asap!

So i am in need of some advice. I had 3 bad bouts of death wobble today, which I have never had before and needless to say it was scary as sh!t! I ended up getting a 160 mile tow home.

I was in moab, wheeled it (for the 3rd time since getting my lift on) and smashed my steering stabilizer. Drove 200 miles fine, stopped for gas, got back on the highway and hit a pothole at 55mph - insane DW. Pulled over, made sure everything was tight (control arms, track bar, inspected tie rod and drag link, jack up the front tires individually and shake them checking for play - everything looks good - I didn't hit the tie rod wheeling, only smashed the SS)

So i drive to O'reillys and again get DW. Bought a new SS, put it on, get back on the highway and get DW again. Got a tow home....too far away from home, nothing is open. Now when i drive it it is sketchy above 25mph - managed to get DW at 30 near my house tonight.

my jeep - 38k miles, 2010 JKUR. I put on a 4" teraflex, full 8 short arm kit 4kish miles ago. This was my 3rd day wheeling on the lift, i wheeled a lot last summer but am not reckless/don't have a heavy foot - I avoid situations where i might break things. I have adjustable track bars, not brackets. I put on the 9/16ths bolts about 10k miles ago since I read DW was caused by this - the holes were not ovaled at the time of installation.

My teraflex track bar has an OE rubber bushing at the frame end and their flex joint at the axle end - this is the older style track bar that doesn't use the turn buckle...it adjusts by screwing the axle side joint in and out.

After having my gf turn the wheel full lock to lock, theres about 1/8" play on the frame side and even more on the axle side - 4k miles and 3 days wheeling - thats too soon, correct?

My question is, if i replace those bushing/joint, I should be good, correct? everything else seems fine.

I am thinking if I put on my stock track bar, even though my axle won't be centered I should still get rid of it until I get new bushings, right? (assuming the stocker is fine)

As of right now it is pretty much undriveable. No issues Please help!

I got a vid tonight while turning it, however there was too much glare and it didn't turn out. No play in the TREs or drag link ends at all.

I'd definitely try the stock track bar. Easy and free. If it fixes it you know what to repair on the better part. I know that it is highly recommended to torque everything to spec as soon as possible after wheeling. Maybe the pitman arm came loose? Sector shaft damaged? Steering box loose? Something slightly bent? Toe in/out from an impact? Shit happens. You'll find it.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to get some pics tonight after work. What's the best joint out there for track bars? If they were bad after 4k I won't get teraflex again....

I would also take a good look at your other components as well. How do the LCA/UCA's look? Did they take a hit as well? If the SS was crushed ( been there done that which is why I take it off for wheeling), what about the tie rod....good possibility it took a bang. ( more likely this will cause more of a shake/shimmy than full on DW). Try to post pics of all the components, and not just the TB.

Solid company. Still wouldn't mind knowing who the culprit is. Never know when you help someone else out down the road. Post up when you get the diagnosis.
