Default Decision about skid plates

I'm trying to decide between the Rock hard engine, trans skid plate and the Evo three piece setup. I like the clearance of the Evo and the way it covers the cat but I like the one piece design of the Rock Hard( I think it would slide over obstacles better). And it covers the cat also but doesn't look as strong as the Evo. I have a 2013, 2 door 6 speed manual with 2.5" RK lift and 35" KM2'S. I have an aftermarket front drive shaft. I just need a little push in one direction. If you know of a better skid in this price range let me know.

Trust me, you do not need to worry about strength on rock hard skids. I was debating between RH and river raider. Endied up going rock hard. Very happy with them. They def saved me some damage to the under carriage

Thanks, the more I research the more I lean in that direction. I went to adventure offroad park a couple weeks ago and felt really naked when I seen the size of the rocks. Really want to protect my under carriage.

X2 on the Rockhard! Easy install and has also already served its purpose on my rig.

Both the EVO (I have it) and the RockHard are good kits. The EVO is a Pita doing the auto trans plate though.

I like the evo. less is more. If you cover the entire bottom of your jeep you will scrape them up on the rocks. if you don't have skid plates or have narrower plates, you won't scrape on so many rocks.

Bbrown I agree with this thinking but I also think if something gets into the area of the trans skid on the evo kit it could hang on the cross member. With the rock hard it will just rise up and slide over. That's my theory anyway. I like the ground clearance of the evo system but like the smoothness of the rock hard. Thanks for your input, its really appreciated.

I have the EVO on my 2011 JKUR and the exhaust crossover rattles on the crossmember skid, other than that they are really nice and have held up great.

I can't comment on the EVO but I'm am happy with my Hardrock. I like how the bolts are recessed inside beveled washers. No bolt heads to get smashed up.
