Default Dick Cepek the same as Mickey Thompson?

Went to a place called Trailblazers here in Lexington today and they tire guy informed me that Dick Cepek and Mickey Thompson were the same company.

Is this true?

INteresting. Any negativity towards Dick Cepek tires?

I've heard the Radial F-C II's are a pretty solid tire in almost all terrain.

"Dick Cepek Mud Country Radial tires are marketed through Cooper's Mickey Thompson division. Cooper Tire & Rubber Company is a global company specializing in the design, manufacture and sales of passenger car, light truck, medium truck, motorcycle and racing tires, as well as tread rubber and related equipment for the retread industry. With headquarters in Findlay, Ohio, Cooper Tire has 39 manufacturing, sales, distribution, technical and design facilities around the world. "

There is a marketing blurb that I found.

Looks like they are all the same company

I ran FC's on a Suburban 4x4 years ago - good tire.

As far as I know Mickey Thompson bought bought the Dick Cepek name years ago.

I've got FC II's and love them. Wish I had more of a mud terrain but they're the best all terrain I've ever had.

Yes Dick Cepek's are a Mickey Thompson tire. They have been part of Mickey Thompson from what I know a the last few years as I had a set of Dick Cepek FC-II's about 5 years ago and they were Mickey Thompson branded on the side walls.
