Default Diesal conversion

Hat's the current price to convert a 2010 JKUR from a 3.8l petrol to a diesal that is more fuel efficient and is the best value for money?

Depending on the year of your vehicle, I know Bruiser Conversions has a few different diesel options. Google Bruiser jk diesel conversion and I am sure you will find what you need. I also bet there are other shops out there, but this is the one that stands out in my mind as the most popular, so they probably have the most experience as well.

Those are some really good figures on fuel economy.

DYI and you might be able to get it for around $10,000. Otherwise you want to go with them, they have worked out all the bugs.

My friend has the Grand Cherokee with the 3.0 diesel. 950 kilometers per tank. I want it.

I doubt you'd ever come close to a break-even on a diesel conversion. The mpg would be a little better, but you have $10+ in costs to make up.. Not to mention that the cost of diesel fuel is notably higher than gasoline, and that delta should increase over time. Lastly, I wouldn't call it "green." Today's clean diesels are still dirtier than gasoline engines.
