diff cover noobie questions.
The tie rod gets bent more often than the front diff cover gets hit. That is because the tires normally lift the jeep up before the rock hits the cover, but since the tie rod is out in front it gets hit and bent a lot. Granted it is still possible to get a really crappy spotter the helps destroy you front diff cover.
that's what I did, just ran the stock tie rod until I bent it enough to mess up the alignment. some of us will run something until we brake it, then we will repair it or replace. then some people will tell you the stock tie rod is crap and you HAVE to replace it now or you WILL bend it.
Well, I did bend mine, but only took well over 2 years. it might happen 2 years from now or it might happen the next time you go offroad. don't worry too much about it man, just know that there are heavy duty options out there
