Default Diff Glide Plate

Has anyone installed Rancho Differential Glide Plate? Pros / cons? Is it too heavy ? How much does it reduce ground clereance? Is it also available for rear axle?

Looks like it reduces ground clearance under the diffs a good 1" or more. Def the worst place to lose ground clearance. I know AEV makes a slider for the rear axle, and doesn't seem to hang as low from what I've seen. I'm getting it for the rear since it seems thats the only thing that ever gets hung up.

We had this poll a lil while back but it never got that big:https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...ht=rancho+diff

I'm not a fan cause it looks like the slider part ends right at the pinion flange and if you were to slide off a rock I could see it taking out your driveshaft. Diff casings are very thick with the only real weak part being the cover so I'd just reinforce that. I believe AEV makes one for the rear.
