Diff Love
So I was wondering what type of love people are giving there diff's once they have re-geared. Just did the breakin change out of fluids and was thinking what to do next. After dropping the money I am going to be a little more proactive then the oweners manual. Thinking about changing the oil at 10K more miles and only crack it open if I see something. Thoughts?
the guy that did my gears suggested a semi synthetic gear lube. what type and wieght gear lubes did you change to, also how much do our axles hold?

Holy name change Batman! What happened to KUpost?
When I did my break-in fluid change I switched to Royal Purple. Other than that I only open up my diff once a year to change the fluid/inspect. I only go more often than that if we do lots deep water stuff then I change fluids when I get home.

@ the OP -> changing it out every 10K just for the sake of doing it is wasting your money.
I just had 513 gears installed. When the 500-750 mark comes, I am going to have the BG lube put in both axles. They will then warrantee all lubricated parts for life. The only condition is that they be reserviced at 30,000 mile intervals. They'll cover up to $4000 per axle over the warrantee period. Because I supplied Yukon gears, that's the only area my dealer won't cover with the factory warrantee.
