Difference between the 2.5" and 3" TF lift kit
I'm looking into getting a lift kit now, and have had my eye on the 2.5" and 3" lift kits both from Teraflex. Why is a half an inch such a big deal that...
"For Proper Alignment Front Lower adjustable Flexarms required.
For proper Rear Pinion Angle adjustment we recommend upper rear Flexarms for 4 door Wranglers and for 2 door models both upper and lower adjustable arms are required."
...has to be included with the 3", and not the 2.5." Also would it KILL my vehicle to not purchase the front lower and rear upper/lower flex arms for my 2 door?
Any help or advice is much appreciated,
Thank you!

It wouldn't kill it, but probably make it handle like shit. That's why the 2.5" is so popular, everything you need is in the affordable kit. Over this height, you need to start adding expensive (to some) parts.
TF 2.5" coils give 3", TF 3" coils give 4", TF 3" 4door coils on a 2door will give closer to 5".
While control arms may not actually be 'required', TeraFlex adds notes based on past experience. If you can deal with the low caster and shitty handling of a 4" lift on stock arms, go for it. Just remember that if/when you blow a rear shaft, you will have to replace with another stock shaft, since the aftermarket double cardan will 'require' different driveline angles.

2.5" lifts the front 3.1"
3"= 4.25"
Any lifted JK would benefit from having at least adjustable front lower arms and a front adjustable trackbar. Your ride/handling quality will benefit from these. However they are not needed for the 2.5" but I would certainly have them on a 3" kit.

My TF 3" was just installed and I'm very happy so far. The extra lift was worth it for my 35's. I added the front lower arms and adjustable track bar and have had no issues. I had not seen the note about the rear arms so I may add those soon just to make it better.
Add in if you go with 3" you need to get longer brake lines for the front, not sure if it's included... and even with the 2.5" the 2011 will need you to do something like I did...
bend the line down...

I did get the 3" lift in the front like Tereflex said,, and that was after having 1" drop from bumper and winch....
I installed a 4DR kit for my 2DR...

oh yea and I did have to upgrade the Front Drive shaft due to in interfering with the tranny pan....
I'm am very pleased with it...

I ask because I have a RC 2.5 lift with 1.75 inch spacer up front and one inch spacer in rear with front heavy bumper and winch. Looking to swap coils and shocks next year and I am debating amongst 3 scenarios.
1
throw on 2.5 coils, leave spacers and buy shocks meant for 3 inch lift kit.
2
Put on 3 inch coils, leave spacers and buy shocks meant for 4 inch kit.
3
Just buy the 4 inch coils and shocks and ditch spacers.
I kind of like my rear spacer since it is teraflex and has the guide in case my spring starts to fall out so I am leaning towards option 1 or 2.
DS is not a concern, already replaced rear with TW and I have 6 speed so front doesnt matter. Would prob get lower front control arms if I go option 2 or 3. already have front and rear adj trackbars.
I am looking to get some more lift and improve ride. The RC coils gave me exactly 2.5 up front with bumper and winch but i think it has sagged some
