Default Difference between 2007-10 and 2011-14 Doors

I was looking at a set of used full rear doors to chop into half doors and found some off a 2010 wrecked JK for sale. I've seen on jeepsrus that they ask if you have one or the other year grouping which led me to believe that there might be some differences. Anyone know?

The interior panels are different on the newer fulls. The newer halfs are still the old door panel (if I'm not mistaken). Other than that, the doors should all be interchangeable.

I find it hard to believe the new half-doors still use the old interior panel. The materials and design wouldn't match at all. OP, the exterior/fitment of the doors should be identical. It seems like an expensive effort to cut down full doors. Might be easier to just buy some aftermarket plastic or cloth doors.

I thought it was odd too but there's a guy who updated the rest of his interior and the old panels were the only ones he could find. The guy repainted the entire jeep, added a 10A hood, added half doors and swapped the new interior- no way he was going to skimp on door panels.

I invite you to show me where I'm wrong though- I did say "if I'm not mistaken".

I just saw the media photos of the new Willys Wheeler Edition (or whatever they're calling it) with half-doors. You're absolutely correct -- they are the same panels. I guess there aren't enough of us who want the half-doors to justify their putting effort into remaking them.
