Default Different Rear Tire Carrier

Ive had my Expedition one carrier now for about 6 months and Im still hit and miss with it. Ive been fiddling around with the adjustment so it doesn't rattle but it seems like it shuts really hard when I do get it to stop rattling, the hi lift jack adaptor seems really flimsy and there isn't any jerry can options as far as when i last looked at website . I am thinking of going to another rear bumper and tire carrier

You could always do an OR-Fab carrier and get whatever bumper you want, and it won't rattle.

You could put it on the gate until you can save for a carrier. There are plenty of people with a big spare on the gate and no issues. I would make sure it presses against the rubber stoppers on the gate, or get the daystar bumpers to keep it tight.

That's scary. I just installed mine so will keep a close look.

Do you live in an area with corrosive atmosphere such as beach, winter salty roads, etc?

I had a tire relocation bracket for my 35" before I replaced my bumpers. It's for sale if you're interested. PM for details.

I'd love to figure out a way to keep my rugged ridge tire carrier from rattling so much. I added the linkage to connect it to the gate, but didn't help with the rattling.
