Default Difficulty with Superchips registr/login/update

After receiving my new Superchips Flaspaq I went to their website as instructed, after about an hour and a half of unsuccessful attempts to register/login i gave up...i think the website for this purpose leaves a lot to be desired...called their customer support the next day and after three different calls with three different people I got registered and login, apparently the instructions on their website are not entirely accurate???now for the update, followed the procedure as prompted by the tech on the phone....the instructions that came with the tuner said that when "the session is complete, you will see the message'tuner up to date'....this message never came up, however the message "it is now safe to unplug your programmer"....upon calling tech support again to see if my progammer was actually updated, I got the reply "yep, I think so, see ya""....so far my experience with Superchips is that of not having much confidence in the product, in fact I have yet yo plug it into my Wrangler....any comment will be appreciated.

Default superchip website problems

I had problems with the site also, so I called them and they were very helpful. First off open the customers tab and click on "download internet update software" then click on the word "here" in the "get the latest windows latest software" this will start the download. Once the down load is complete it will leave an icon on your desktop. From there get you your superchips programer ready and open up the icon then follow the directions. I hope this helped out. Once I tuned my vehicle to 87 performance I noticed a slight MPG increase and better shifting of the auto trans.

I was having similar problems. Found that my AntiVirus software (Norton) was prohibiting file transfers. Just turned of the AV software whilst performing the SuperChip updates. Turned the AV software back on when done.

For those who don't know, Superchips has recently updated their download/update software. "Much" more user friendly, and without the conflicting hassles of firewalls and AV interaction.

Go to the Superchips website; find the "Customer" tab; scroll down to "Download internet update software". About 10Mb. You may have to register on the site, if you haven't done so already.

Default No longer registered?

Has anyone had an issue with losing your registration? I was registered and I've updated my programmer a few times over the last year but now it won't let me log in. It tells me my user name is not valid and I need to call tech support.

I uninstalled and downloaded the newer updater. Just in case I tried clicking on "lost my password", but again it tells me my username isn't even valid.

I haven't had a chance to call their tech support yet, but I wondered if anyone else has had this issue.

Thanks

From what I understand, user names were not carried over with the web site updates. Just re-register as a new user. That's what I had to do.

Thank you for the information, saved me the long phone call to tech support.

I'll get re-registered and hopefully get the programer finally updated.
