Default Disappointed with the ride after lifting

Posted this in the wrong thread yesterday.

Hey guys lifted my jeep a couple of weeks and finally got out on the highway today. I put a 1.25 body with the rough country 3.5" series 2 on. Around town I'm pretty happy. Drives pretty good. Took out on the highway today and wow, a little sketchy. It doesn't ride rough and takes bumps great. It also has plenty of power for the 35" toyos and doesn't try to find gears (2012). But man it is all over the road. I had it aligned after I got it lifted. I dont have any death wobble issues, its just really "floaty". The only thing i can think of is On rough country's website they called for 4.6+ camber. I asked them before I ordered if their new control arms would provide the needed geometry to achieve this, they said yes. The alignment shop could only get 4.0 degree out of it. That's still within factor specs though. After calling rc and telling me they said I needed cam bolts. I don't want cam bolts, that why I asked before i bought it. Any thoughts? I know this thing isn't going to drive like a sports car, I've owned jeeps before, but I was hoping it was going to be a little better.

On a side note I am pleased with rc lift. Please don't just post how I should of got different lifts. I'm just looking for some help.

Thanks

Get LCA for the front an adjust your caster back to spec.. That should fix it.

Yes, you need adjustable lower control arms.

Then you still need new ones :p o get some adjustable LCA, should correct everything also.. With that much lift your going to need a new front DS sooner or later too.. So don't forge that either :p

The alignment shop could only get 4.0 degree out of it.
They didn't 'get' anything. That lift comes with fixed lower control arms. They are not adjustable, so there was nothing your alignment shop could do to change the caster, short of adding the cams. Since those arms are longer than stock to help address the caster, you should consider keeping them and just adding adj uppers if you want more.
