Default Disconnecting question?

I dont have front sway bar disconnects yet i have a 2.5 inch teraflex lift with a coast front driveshaft so i dont have to worry about ripping the boot!

1. dont have time to order up sway bar disconnects i am leaving tomorrow for a off road trip
2. I would like to disconnect (i dont mind unbolting the bottom of the sway bar links
3. I will be camping close to the enterence of the park
4. here is the real question! when i go to leave am I going to have a horrible time trying to get the sway bar links bolted back up? am i going to need my floor jack? I image i will be able to bolt it back up but do not want to be suprized if i can and have to drive 3 hours back home wit it disconnected that is way to dangerous!

I think you mean to say "quick disconnects". Once you get back on level ground, it shouldn't be difficult to re-fasten the sway bar links.

No need to jack anything up. Just be on level ground to connect / disconnect the sway bar links from the axle. Then you will need to secure them to the frame so they're not flopping around. A bungee cord works well. Some use zip ties.

If you are having a hard time getting a bolt back in one side have some one rock the jeep and that may help, just watch your fingers if you do that.

X2 give the jeep a shake or two if you can't get them to connect correctly.

I usually have my three hundred pound buddy lower it all down then raise it up slowly and I can reconnect both at the same time.

Not so much pushing down on the bumper (sometimes that is enough) but more rocking it side to side you will get more movement since you wont be pushing against as much spring pressure.

Also, when reconnecting, do the passenger side first. Don't now why, but my Quick Disco's instructions state this, and it is realy easier that starting w/ the driver's side!!!
