Default Do control arm brackets do more than just caster correction?

I understand a lot more of lifts from my previous questions on the forum but now I have two more:

Control arm brackets - I understand that these correct caster for a lifted jeep.

1. DO THEY ALSO PROVIDE A BETTER RIDE THAT USING ADJUSTABLE ARMS by adjusting the angle of the lower arm?

2. Does anyone have ground clearance issues with the brackets doing light to moderate wheeling? Jeep will never see hardcore wheeling.

Thanks Again

Its not just the angle of the arms. It changes the link mounting points. Also think about axle arc on longer travel shocks.

After I added my 2.5" lift my jeep was unstable in the highway. After added the drop brackets it was night and day. Where I had a death grip before now it's not even close. I have wheeled in lots of places (Moab for example) and have had no issues with clearance.

Adjustable arms adjust caster. Brackets adjust caster and angle of the arms. Flat arms provide the best ride. That said, with lower lift heights, the difference usually can't be felt. At 2.5", there is very little angle on the control arms. I tried the brackets on a 2.5" lift and then swapped in arms and found that the arms were a better feel (largely because I was able to exactly dial in caster - and the Metalcloak joints do ride really nice).

If you don't offroad in places where you aer climbing stuff, the brackets are fine. Some wheel them in the rocks and say it's fine. I also know people who bent the AEV brackets significantly the first time they wheeled them. haha.

1. Yes

2. No, not with 37" tires.

Re-positioning your control arm mounts on a vertical access effects your squat/dive as well as caster. So, your on road handling (especially when cornering) should be better. That said, a stock Jeep's squat numbers could be better, so who knows, they may have one upped jeep.
