Default Do I need to extend ABS line while doing lift

I am planning to add a 3 inch to my JK, most probably OME LT or Full Traction Premimum
And I want to ask a question about ABS line while doing lift.

http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-write-...ation-write-up

In this write up above, step 26-42 talked about front brake/ABS line and step 65-67, 78-86 talked about rear brake line

Seems to me the ABS line is not touched during this process, so I guess the stock length of ABS line is long enough for this lift?

with the amount of lift you get out of this kit, you will not need to address the abs lines.

Eddie:

Thanks for the quick response. But If I do need to extend the ABS line, can I simply
cut it, then add some wire in the middle and reconnect? Does this ABS line has special
requirement or regular electrial wire is good enough?

If you pull the loom connectors closest to the axles, both front and rear, you will pickup at least 2" extra length.

Call us if you want to talk the install over, like the other guy said, No worries on the ABS lines. If you ever go tall enough its very easy to extend them. Its just splicing in longer wires.

What Brake Line extenders do you all recommend? I have a 4" superlift on my unlimited.

Are any brands better than another?

thanks

Your 4in Superlift should have come with appropiate brakeline extensions. I ran this lift for about a year and a half with no issues with the exts. that came with the kit.

Default Flexing out the Old Man Long Travel

You'll want longer ABS lines if you flex out the old man emu long travel kit.

I got about 18 inches of flex from the top of the rear tire to the top of the fender. and a good 8" off the ground. even the extended crown brake lines were tight, but the abs lines that were being held by the holders were near ripping out of their spot.

Extend the ABS!

I did not have the front sway bars disconnected so I assume the amount of flex I had in the rear had been limited, but in any case, I am going to extend them my ABS or atleast pull them from their brackets or holders.
