Default Do i need Leveling Kit Shock extensions with aftermarket shocks?

Hi All!

I'm going to be ordering my teraflex leveling kit this week, and was going to pair them with the Bilstein 0-2" shocks, shown here:

http://www.quadratec.com/products/16070_0001.htm

Now if I threw these shocks on, would I also have to get the shock extensions for everything to run properly, like i would with the stock shocks?

Thanks everyone!

Nope. You can run the Leveling Kit with stock shocks. No extensions needed.

You don't need the shock extensions if you are getting new shocks, the extensions are for you to use your stock shocks

No extensions needed with the Leveling Kit at all, regardless of which shocks you're using.

In that case, you WOULD need either longer shocks or extensions. That extra bit is just long enough to make a difference in the lifts. It all depends on what tire size you want to run, and the final look you're going for on your Jeep.

If you still want to run Bilsteins, they make a 2.5" shock.

Thanks for the reply! My lift considerations are actually being based AROUND my tire choice. I have 295/70/17 trail grapplers, and I'm unsure if the 2.5" will net too much of a lift to where my tires look funny.

I have 295/17's with a Leveling Kit and it worked out great.

Wow that does look great. Do you have any pics of 295/17 with the 2.5" spacer lift from Teraflex? You just made my decision even harder!

No, but since that picture, I've since added springs from a 4-door Rubicon and Xenon flat fenders. Still have the 295's (until the 35's eventually go on) and I still like the stance.
