do i need a new driveshaft
After i put on my rough country 3.5 series 2 lift? I have a 2012 2dr sport 6spd manual. Ive heard on here yes i do and no i dont so thanks in advanced for your advice if i do what is a good driveshaft, do i need to do the front or rear? . And also will i have to regear when i put 35s on if so what are good gears and which ones? Thanks in advance again
for the 2012 models you do in fact have to replace the driveshaft, I've heard and been told you only need to replace the front driveshaft. In reference to having to regear it, it depends on what gear ratio you already have and what your going to do with it, on a tv show I watched a few days ago they showed putting an 07 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with a 4' lift, on 35's the host of the show said that 35's were the biggest you could go without having to regear it. But yet again he didn't state what the gear ratio already was, so I personally think it depends what ratio came with the Jeep, and what you plan to do with it. The drive shaft I've heard alot about is this product right here, but as I continue to look I don't see anything for a 2012 model.

So i need a new front and rear driveshaft? Any recommendations on which ones (nothing to crazy expensive) ? And i need rear upper control arms and possibly gears depending on what i have? Anything else? Thanks in advance

depending on how big of a tire you plan on running, i recommend a coast or je reel 1310 shaft as they are made well and use spicer and neapco u-joints for the same price as other popular brands and without having to get them as an upgrade. if you plan on running 37's or bigger, a set of 1350's would be the better way to go. if you can't afford all that now, just get the front shaft and wait till your rear starts to fail. when you replace it, you will need adjustable rear upper control arms.
