Do i need a steering stabalizer?
I put a 2.5' BB on my jeep and 35's. I have had it balanced and aligned. They can't adjust the caster because it is stock so it is way out. I know I need to get new control arms but don't have the money. It still drives weird. Would a steering stabilizer help until I can get the monet together to get the control arms? Just windering the cheapest way to fix this. Thanks.
It seems to pull back and forth at different times. I live in the country and the roads aren't the greatest but it sometimes seems hard to control. You can take the steering wheel and move it right and left and there is a lot of play in it. Just thought a stabilizer would take that out and feel a little more responsive.
mine does this as well. its due to low caster. mine is roughly 3.5 if i remember. u can do like planman said and toe in a lil, but not to much or u will mess up the tires. i would save some $$ n get some lca's!
a SS is not gonna do anything. mine drives exactly the same with the SS on or off.
i run 30 psi.
i run 30 psi.
I think the cheapest I have found the control arms is about $200. Is that about right? Anything I should stay away from? My caster is like 2.7" if I remember. Well below where is should be. The did the toe in and got it back to spec. I know I have a steering stabilizer already but I know when I had my YJ it felt similiar and the new steering stabilizer seemed to make a huge difference.
