on my TJ it made a very tiny noticable differance, but mine is a 4cyl pushing 35's so maybe a motor with a bit more power might be different...

Yeah they work. Can you tell is a better question?

In my experience is that unless you are going to tow or plan on drag racing your jeep, you don't need it. The chip is most effective when you are in wide open throttle. Tell me, when are you going to rev your motor that high?

I have a stage II, that is not installed in my TJ 4.0, and there is a good reason why. Useless for me on the trails, and wastes a little more gas.

Use it if you are going to tow or just care about the psyche of having one in your jeep. I have one I could sell you. Fits TJ's 4.0

I had one installed on a '99 GMC 2500 4x4 with the 6.0L engine and the only place it made a difference in was the shifting (auto trans). After reprogramming it, i could get 2nd gear chirps in 4x4 on pavement! ...or maybe you just need a 6.0L in your JK?? hmmmm... lol
