Has anyone ever seen an aftermarket kit for an upper short intake runner for a 3.6L? You know, one that doesn't block the entire right of the engine? Like below random example but not as enormous?
Does this even exist for 3.6L?
Jay, I often wonder if these mods make a big difference as modern engines are basically pretty hotly modified whereas years back the engines were in a lower output and it was easier to get way more HP compared to today. But the fact an engine is just an airpump means more air, more fuel = more HP. I looked at a 505 stroked 3.8 to 4.1 which technically was a lot easier than adding the V8 but the reputation of 505 and the fact the 3.8 engines were not that strong, meant I was not going to get the same power as I have now. I also would have to drop close to $10k in to the engine to get it all complete and the entire V8 conversion with Motech kit, the motor/tranny, driveshafts, interior console and shifter additions, suspension replacement and other items cost $17K CDN (about 14k US at the time).
Truth be told, i only wanted to have ready access to the right side bank of the v6 without having to remove intake manifold. Im happy with the 3.6l power.
