Default do you alternate between rubirails and sidesteps?

If you do, is the hardware required for the sidesteps the same as the rails? I have the rails and will soon be getting the sidesteps (anyday now), but the sidesteps do not come with the hardware. The steps are the factory black molded plastic ones.

Just trying to see if I will need to gather some extra bolts, washers etc...

They should use the same hardware.

They do use the same hardware. I swapped out my stock steps/rails for the enhanced rubi rails with steps.

I do exactly that. I have stock Rubicon Rails and stock Sahara steps. They install with the same hardware. I put my rails back on in the summer. Steps in the winter. The steps help gaurd the side of the Jeep in the winter from gravel and magnesium oxide crap that they put on the roads.

Do you mean the rubi rails with the extended rub rail? Are you using the extended rub rail as a step or is there a step that will attach to the rail?

Thanks for all of the replies. That is exactly what I needed to know.

VBS4, I am definitely doing the rubirail/step mod as you did... Just needed a quick fix so I can take my time and hopefully mine will look as good as yours...
