Default Dodge Ram Mirrors

I'm looking for a slick set of towing mirrors that flip in and out.

I was looking at a set of dodge ram power mirrors and wondering if I could make them work.

Has anyone tried this?

I swear I saw a jeep the other day that had flip out mirrors or longer vertical mirrors with some LED lighting in it.

Any ideas? Thoughts?

I don't want bungee on towing mirrors. I'm looking for something a little more seemless and permanent for daily towing.

I can buy the dodge ram mirrors for about $200 on ebay, power, heated.

Two concerns, it might screw up with the canbus, (ie take more power for heated) but I'm not positive.

And my other concern is that they're made for a longer vehicle so they might not be useful/functional

I started to go down this road and stopped. Your going to end up with something hacked together if you use the Ram mirrors and it won't be cheap. I considered using an RV camera system to show the right and left side on a monitor mounted on the dash. There are several vendors, but nothing that I could find that really looked like a quality solution. There is a lot of really low cost/cheap import gear that can fill that function but I'm not sure if I want the fire hazard in my Jeep. I ended up deciding on a rear view cam with an Alpine Nav. They have a really nice wide-angle solution that gives a 186 degree view.
