Default Does 1 Inch Make a Difference ?

I've done my 'search' here for information, but need to ask a few questions.
I've spent plenty of time in the 'Show Me Your 33's thread'. (my wife says too much time...)

Any how tire size has me hung up from ordering...hope you guys/gals can help.

2008 stock JKU Auto, 3:73's.

Here's what I know:

-I have decieded on Procomp 17X9 with 4.75" BS (Series 7005 - Black) X 5
-Terraflex leveling kit
-Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ, 33" is a good size for my use.

Either:

A) LT285/70R17 (33X11.50R17) ?

B) LT305/65/R17 (33X12.50R17 ?

Jeep is DD which does 120KM round trip 5 days a week for work, with the odd wheelin trip, trails, no hard core rock krawling, and I don't do any towing.

I love the look of the 'wide stance' but I question the 'stickey-outie-look' past my stock fender flares. Will the 12.5's stick way too far out, or are we talking a inch or so?

Can ya' really tell the difference on the 1"? Hard to visualize it, wish I could calculate and meaure on paper. (hmmm)

Should I just go for the 12.5's?

With other's experience am I missing anything or, looking to far into the details?

Thanks for reading

This comes down to personal preference, but personally I don't think the extra 1" would do anything other than add more of an impressive stance to your JK.

Go for it!!! If you drive it and still don't like them, you can always sell the tires to another member (maybe even me) and go with the skinnier tire.

Go with the 12.50's IMO. They barely stick out past the stock fender flare.

My wife says it does
I'd go to 1250 unless you have some weird and restrictive fender laws.

The 305 width makes a LOT of difference. The tread lugs are larger and voids are larger.

If you can snag the image or zoom in you'll see there is quite a bit of difference. I had them side by side in the tire store and went with 305 for sure. It's also a better width IMO for a 9" wide rim.

Yes thankfully

33s look small on a 4D. Personally I think 34s look much better. I can't believe I'm arguing for another inch.

Everybody always wish they had another inch. ?

The wider tire will help with flotation on soft soil or sand.

The two door has stock wheels with 1.75" wheel spacers and 285s

My 4 door has 315s on 17x9 Procomp X Alloy wheels
