does anyone have these wheels
both i'm thinking of getting them, how do you like you soft8 wheels. mainly just wondering about quality. i wont off road much at all, mine is a city jeep just gets me to and from work for the most part.
Most people don't find steel wheels as attractive as aluminum, and they are heavier, so they will increase your unsprung weight and moment of inertia.
That being said, they are more durable than aluminum. Generally people buy steelies because they are cheap and strong. Aluminum is more attractive because it can be cast into much more elaborate shapes easily, but it is softer so it is more prone to damage, and it is much more expensive.

I have the Crager Soft 8's also but they are for offroad use only on our Jeep.
Personally Id get Aluminium wheels for a Daily Driver since the steelies are pretty heavy.
As far as quality they seem pretty good, mine had a couple nics and scratches from shipping when I got them. I didn't care since they are only put on for playing in the dirt.

The more unsprung weight you have, the more energy your suspension has to absorb and counteract. Basically, low unsprung weight makes it easier for your suspension to keep all four tires on the ground.
This is one of the many reasons solid axle vehicles don't ride as nicely on the road as independent suspension vehicles.
