Default Does this look right?

A little background. i have the 2" OME HD lift (shocks and coils) and was having death wobble (yes...really death wobble, not just bump steer haha) and very loose/flighty/floaty steering. Dave at northridge took a huge amount of his time to explain a bunch of stuff to me and i ended up with a set of Currie lower adjustable control arms. I took the to the dealer to have them installed (to replace the cam bolts that i had previously installed)

the dealer reused the cam bolts to install the axle mount of the LCA's. can this be done? it doesn't seem right to me, but it made it so that the slotted axle mount bracket didn't need to be welded. also, if you look in the picture, it looks like they are tipped at about a 45 degree angle.

anyway they were installed, and i was given 5.5 degrees of caster in the front. and it drives worse than before! i haven't had any DW or bump steer, but the steering is ridiculously loose. any ideas would be greatly appreciated! oh and thanks again to Dave at northridge for hooking me up and explaining things to me. i'm sure this will be fixed, i just need to know how!

From what I can see in the pics. there is no bushing in the arm. Or the cam bolt does not fit the arm tightly enough. On the frame side of my arms there is a bushing. If you yank/push the arm around does it have a lot of slop in it? When my arm bushings went out my jeep drove like sht.

Ditto.
Looks like the bushing is missing.

In direct answer to the question you posed, NO, that does not "look right".

the arm is just twisted. When they tightened up the jam nut they let the arm twist into the bracket. it needs to have the jam nut loosened, then the arm rotated, then tighten the jam nut with the arm straight.

take it to a 4x4 shop that knows what they are doing.... or do it yourself. It does not look like this dealer has a clue what is going on. Also get those brackets welded up while you are there and the cam bolts replaced with some good old fashioned grade 8 bolts.

in addition to a better mounted LCA, it looks like you have a better camera than me. nice pic!

thansk to everyone for your replies. it looks like i'll be going back to the shop for some "specialized" assistance. let's just hope it doesn't come with a "specialized" price tag.

that won't cost much. Should be under $100 for sure. It should only take a qualified person about an hour to repair the control arm brackets and adjust the arms.

I just realized something.... are those both bent the same direction? if they are... there is nothing wrong. If you want to grab the arm and twist it straight you can do it by hand. If the ends are not both bent the same way then you need to adjust them.

That is normal for the Curries to "twist" since they have a Johnny Joint on each end. If there was a bushing on one end then no, bit for the Curries it is normal for teh arm to have a twist relative to the joints.
