Default Does it matter where you mount the trans cooler?

Seems everybody has mounted their trans coolers at various locations along thr front of the radiator. Does it matter where along the radiator front the cooler is mounted? Is one location better than the other?

Thanks,

Flash

Thankls,

I mounted my dead center of the grill/radiator fan. I'm going to mount another just for the power steering on the side.

It doesn't really matter as long as there is adequate air flow. The length of the lines that come wiht the kit really dictates where most people mount it. Though some have purchased additional lines. I read at least one person fabbed up metal lines for a stronger and cleaner look.

Make sure you consider the hose length...
I used 100% of the hose that came with the kit.

I mounted mine in the center but then had to trim and adjust the hood safety latch a bit because it was hitting the cooler.

I just ordered the B&M Hi-Tec cooler with the integrated fan. A lot more expensive but the integrated fan seems to be a great idea. Shouldnt the cooler kit come with a fan relay?

Most coolers come with a length of line (hose). If you find the supplied hose too short for your planned installation location, be sure you buy appropriate hose.

You do not want to use fuel hose so make sure you are getting transmission cooler hose.
