Default this does not seem right

Problem solved. i did not remove the shock adaptors that were left over from my previous OE shocks. (really stupid mistake)

Just wanted to add a comment about teraflex and northridg's great service. There are few companies that you can contact on a weekend or in the evening via Facebook and get almost instant replies. Joe at teraflex responded to all of my question very quickly and even went as far a MMSing me pictures of how his were installed.

Dave at northride was also super helpful. i ordered my elkas and he did not realize that the mounting now requires frame brackets. He called teraflex and added them to my order free of charge!

Thanks Guys i appreciate the great service!

Umm, those look too long, should have twice as much shaft exposed.

maybe an extra inch or two of compression on yours, but you could have a shorter lift then on the install they did and I dont exactly know what it is supposed to be like but im just going off of pictures. how is the ride?

Also, there are separate elkas for 2.5 lift,
3-4in lift, 6in lift.

before i ordered i called teraflex to find out what shocks would work. They said they used to offer 2.5 3-4 & 6+ kits. Now its 2.5-4 and 6+. they said that these should work find with my 2.5 coil lift. but it does seem that double the amount of shaft should be showing.

any thoughts? or am i just being paranoid
Measure the gap between your bump stop and the bump stop pad. if that distance exceeds the available compression of your shock then you have a problem. Your bump stop is supposed to compress, so you should have the gap and then some available or your shocks will bottom out.

i think i have problem then. i have not measure but just by eyeing it you can tell the bumpstop gap is larger. very very frustrating!

Are they really the 2.5-4 model, or were they supposed to be the 2.5-4?

Its not that strange for the wrong item to get shipped.
