The forum owner Wayoflife runs a PSC ram assist on his JK and it's a six speed. I did some searching on ram assist steering on the forum prior to getting mine (I have an auto trans however) and I think I remember reading basically the same thing when someone posted a similar question about running a ram assist and 6-speed. Wayoflife's comment was something to the effect that PSC had made changes to pulley size to make up for the lower idle speeds which was not producing enough pressure to turn wheels at low speeds.

Default Psc

I have been in contact with PSC a lot in the past two weeks. Their customer service is really good over the phone, they helped me with a warranty item. I burned up a (two week old) pump for the ram assist. They had one shipped and at my door within three days, no questions asked. Then I decided to just install an inline cooler for the entire set up, did not want to burn up another pump. Quick responses and shipping times! The company has earned all my future business.

You didn't have to post a bogus reply just to see a rabbit with a pancake on his head
