Default does this sound normal after gears and locker

Hey guys..

I have a 2010 jku (automatic) with 30 k miles. Its lifted on 35's. I had 5.13 gears and a rear Yukon locker added. I have noticed when shifting from park to reverse or reverse to drive it really "jumps" into gear. I can actually hear it outside of the jeep as well. my buddies jeep has 5.13's and it still shifts smooth when selecting gears imo. is this have anything to do with the locker? or do I have an issue with the install. The jeep shifted into gears great before the install. but maybe this could be normal. any help would be awesome.

when at driving speeds I also noticed if I let out of the throttle and get back in it I can hear a "click" or metal sound. im guessing that could be the locker. I just don't want to tear something up if somethings a little off in there

An auto locker will make noise while turning but it should not make it feel like its" jumping" into gear

an auto locker in a rear application will do that, it'll lock when he puts it in gear since it puts torque on the locker, it'll unlock when he lets off suddenly, then lock up again when he gets back on the gas, So if he put a Grizzly in it it's perfectly normal

Well the shop that did my gear and locker install looked at my jeep. They pent most of the day on the phone. He advised it doesn't feel right to him either. Yukon said it the characteristics of this locker. The owner of the shop still didn't think it felt right. He personally ordered me a new one. He's going to put in my jeep and see if it acts the same way. He said if so then he'll put my original locker in his sons jeep. If it's better n not acting the same he said he will be back on the phone n sending yukon the faulty locker back. I'm pleased with the effort my shops taken to make sure it's right

I'm wondering about the tranny. Not certain you have had work done there. When. Beefed up my dodge ram, I had the trans redone to handle the power and a shift kit installed. It would do that, less the "click".
