Default Drag link question

Hey y’all. I recently had the shop put on 35” tires on my stock rig no lift. 2016 jku. It rode like hell ever since and was wandering all over the road. Brought it to the shop and they said everything was tight and looked good. I noticed my steering wheel was off about 1/8 of and inch to the left so I crawled under it today to straighten it out. I completely forgot to put my key into the ignition and loosened the drag link bolts and gave it a half turn counterclockwise. Didn’t move my steering wheel (of course no key in ignition) so dumbfoundedly I made a full rotation. Said screw it and tightened everything back up and took it for a spin. All of the wandering and flighty feeling is all of a sudden gone. Made things so much better. If it wasn’t straightening the wheel than what was I doing? Just looking to see if someone knows why it’s better now.

thanks!
