Default drive line chatter

I have a 2007 unlimited Rubi. with a 6 spd. I put on a rustys offroad 3.25 lift and 35 MTZs, I get some chatter in the drive line in 4 low, it did it when it was stock but seams to be doing it a little more. I go out wheeling about 3 or 4 times a month. My buddy has an 08 X unlimited with an auto and his doesnt seem to do it. Any one else having this issue. It only has 19000 miles on it and I got it be for the lifetime powertrain warr.

Are you sure its not the transfer case? It is chain driven and will get a little backlash/chatter now and then.

i think its the linkage. Mine does it too in 4 wheel low sounds like a bamboo stick smacking a metal pipe. It only does it in 4 wheel low and it did get worse after my lift. But what it did for me was jsut make me a better wheeler. I was running 4 low locked on obstacles i didnt even need it. Also it does not do it if you let the clutch out and crawl. I was granny clutching bad opping it in and out. Just let her crawl and only run 4 wheel low when you need it. But i havent figured out yet how to fix it. I guess im waiting for somethign to break. Let me know if you figure it out.

It does it when I am crawling locked or not. Mostly when decending...it seams like it freewheels and then catches up to it self. Its hard to explain i guess. If it were the t-case wouldnt an auto trans do it to???
anybody???
