Default Drive Shaft Question

Hi there everybody

I was just wondering...I see quite a number of folks in the forum putting lift kits on their new JK's, but I don't
recall reading anything in any of the posts that talk about whether or not anything was done to the drive shafts on these vehicles.

I was under the impression that the new funky CV joints that DC decided to put on the shafts wouldn't be able to take
much more than a 1 1/2 or 2 inch lift. Or at the least they wouldn't be able to last very long with more than a two inch lift

I'm just curious to know how high can this vehicle be lifted before something needs to be done with those funky new joint ends ?

Or are they a better product than I have been led to believe?

Forgive me if I sound like a noob, but when it comes to Jeeps...I am

Default Driveshaft

I have a 2" suspension lift and don't have any problems with the stock shaft.

I haven't heard of anything like this till 4" of lift.
