Default Drive Shaft Replacement

Seems like there isn't much talk about DS replacement other than the 2dr.
I'm wondering what the benefit would be to 'just do it'. I'm not going to do any mudding or crazy rock crawling where i'll be binding up the driveline. Mainly just local SOCAL trails, seasonal snow and an annual trip to Moab.

I'm looking at getting the Rancho 4" lift and more than likely 35" tires. I am half considering getting at least the rear DS through Coast driveline (mainly cause they are in the same city as myself). If they set me up with a cool package (shafts gears and what not) i might do the DS while i'm at it.

Any thoughts?

With a 4 door and 4" of lift, you will need a front long before the rear, since the angle coming from the tcase will cause you to eventually rip the flange boot.

The rear should be ok

My thought with the rear is that the actual percentage of time the front will be engaged will be a fraction of the rear's usage. I really think the only benefit would be weight reduction?

I do agree that the angle on the front is more of a concern

the rear is something you should consider replacing sooner than later. Its at a steep angle on the two door.

When you rear does break, It can not be fixed and you will be stuck where your at.
