Default Drive shaft upgrade??

I have a 08 2dr manual rubicon, 3.5" AEV prem lift

My passion is rock crawlin and i hit it hard so im looking for top of the line upgrades. I would like to do it once the right way.

I have stock control arms and would like to upgrade the uppers and
eventually get long arms

I think upgrading the driveshaft first is the right thing to do. Than rear adj uppers.

? rear drive shaft first with a u-joint style

Does that change the flange to a u-joint at the transfer case im a bit fuzzy on this??

Woods best warranty in the business, especially on their U-joints. You'll want to change the flanges at both ends.

Some shops offer two versions, one that has an adapter to the stock flanges and others that have new u-joint style flanges. Your gonna wanna get the u-joint style flanges for highest strength, and double check with them that that's flanges for both the t-case and diff. I would also recommend sticking with 1310's and fight your urge to beef things up with a 1350 u-joint. 1310's are plenty strong, cheaper, easier to find, and are a good weak link, better to bust a u-joint than an axle/pinion gear ect.

I'm pretty sure there's a write up on here for doing a driveshaft swap. Run a search for that and that should answer any other questions about the install.

About your questions I'm a little confused, are you saying you want to do shafts first and then rear control arms? Your really gonna want to set your pinion angle up before you put the new shaft in, there's going to be alot of stress on the joints with a 3.5 in lift and no adjustment. I'd highly recommend the rear uppers first. Hope that helps.

ty, yeah i was looking at the 1350.... ill have to reconsider

well i was going to try and get the wife to buy the drive shaft (x-mas) then i could get the uppers later (cheaper) and install all at the same time.

Any idea on what upper CA to go with?

I went with the 1310 Tom Woods drive shafts. They come with the new flanges and are very well made.
