Default Driver Side Airbag With Front Passenger Seat Removed?

Hey everyone. I have a 2007 2 Dr Rubicon and I'm looking to remove my front passenger seat for extra room (tools, anything for work etc.) I'm aware of the fact that the passenger airbag light will stay on and that one has to be careful when setting the seat on the ground because of how sensitive the weight sensor is in the seat. I also know I'll have to get the dealer to recalibrate the sensor if I ever want to put the seat back in.

My main question is will removing the front passenger seat affect the driver side airbag? (s\Steering wheel or side bags). I want to be sure the driver side bags will not be affected for obvious safety reasons. The reason I ask is because I read on another forum that the air bag wiring is somehow connected in series which means if one airbag has a problem or harness is disconnected, etc. they will both go out. Seriously, from a safety aspect this makes absolutely no sense to me at all. What if there was a problem with the passenger airbag that a person didn't even know about? That would mean the person would have a malfunctioning driver bag as well? Also, I searched the forums before posting this but didn't find a direct answer to my question. Thanks everyone : )
