Default Driveshaft Question

After looking under my jk today I noticed some grease spitting out the front driveshaft. I'll be getting a toms 1310 series soon but until then I need to pull my front driveshaft out before it locks up. My question is what else do I need to do when I pull it out. Can I just unbolt, take it out and be ok?

just unbolt it and leave the yokes in place until you have the new shaft...
