Default Driving without front driveshaft

I am having the front driveshaft re-balanced after pulling it off last night and all my vibration disappeared. Going to A-1 Driveshaft in Baltimore.

Question - Would it be OK to drive to and from work without the front driveshaft installed (about 20 miles each way)?

It can be done. I'ev been driving like that for over a month. You only need the front DS to use 4x4.

yep, you don't need it on and if anything, you might feel your jeep is a bit peppier and a lot nicer to drive on the highway

Just hope you dont get any snow storms because you will be in trouble. Nah I'm just kidding I had an old toyota 4x4 that I only installed the front driveshaft at the trailhead because the cv was going bad. It would make noise at freeway speed but was fine at off-road speed and it was too expensive for me to fix at the time. It was fine like that for over 2 years.

On my old CJ's, I ran without the front driveshaft most of the time. It gave me more power and better mileage. I just had to remember to reinstall it when bad weather was coming.
