Ken, Great idea! I'll check some measurements and see how they might fit. The latch receiver might need to "float" due to the gate approaching it from the bottom up verses swinging into it from the same elevational plane (horizontally aligned). Thanks for the suggestion! Take care... Mike

 

I think the main issue to start will be the extra width of the JK compared to previous Jeeps. And as mentioned, who knows what would be involvd to make the hinge area strong enough to accept the load of having a useful tailgate.
