Put on my OR-FAB Gecko Skins and SWAG Offroad tailgate drop down mod recent. I can't recommend doing this on your own unless you really feel like being sore the next day.

Still working out where I'm going to put those wires, but until I lengthen them, they will go there.

But I have to ask.. why the drop down gate? Was there a reason you did it or did you just like it?

Seems it's easier with the swing open.. don't have to reach over the gate and all. Just curious...

So, how do you like the skins? How pita was the install? I'm expecting mine in the next week or so, just curious about your initial impressions

 

I did it because I like sitting on it or using as a table without the door hitting me on hills. Also, it got rid of an annoying rattle from the stock hinges.
Yeah, they've been on there for a couple years. I got the idea on here.
The install was pretty painful. It's hard to get them to conform to the sheetmetal without a couple extra sets of hands. Once you get it lined up, it goes pretty easy. I did learn why you need to put the lights on first, as well as not to put silicon on prior to installing them. I guess that's why there are two sides, so you can do the second side without making all the mistakes you did the first time.
Another side benefit of this install is that if you already have an OR-FAB tire carrier like me, you get to undo and then redo the hardest nuts of that entire install. Without a taillight hole to reach through.

Nice job! everything looks good, I like the drop down gate always seemed more practable to me. It gives you just a little more room if you attempt to sleep in the back of a 2 door plus works as a table. I like the skins too.

 

The skins look great, their on my to do list.
