Default Dual battery set up

So I'm going to an open house sale tomorrow and I know I'm gonna end up buying something ...

I'm thinking maybe the next thing I need is a dual battery set up. I'm running a winch, windshield lights and cb radio. Im hoping to run Onboard air by the end of the summer so I was thinkin of taking care of the battery situation first. What do you guys think?

I did a few quick searches for what I want.

I really like the nemesis battery tray BUT have had no help from customer service as to whether or not it will fit with a rugged ridge snorkel. However, someone who installed that tray told me they had 5 hours if trouble with it and cannot possibly see it working with the rugged ridge snorkel

So my second thought was, fine. Ill go with the rugged ridge tray as I'm sure they've designed it to fit with their products.

Then I came acros the benchmark designs kit and I know they're impossible to find now (though I noticed an online vendor selling them...) but I also wasnt impressed by the price tag.

Any suggestions ...what would you do?

I'm going with the M.O.R.E. tray. I had benchmarks in my 07 before they disappeared and honestly it was flimsy and my shock bolt hit the bottom of it.

I went with Rugged Ridge, install wasn't too tough but it does take some time. I wanted something that would fit two Diehard Platinums. Tray is very sturdy, no complaints.

Honestly, a good single deep cycle battery will have no problem running the accessories you have.

I agree. I like to camp for extended periods and have an ARB fridge which is why I went for the dual setup.

Default Dual Battery Tray

I went with the Benchmark for my 08 and have no complaints. I do not have a snorkel so not sure if that will help you. I also run a fridge on mine and can run the entire weekend on my yellow tops with no problem. I did modify the solenoid from their design but that is just a personal prefference.

This^^^. The only reason you need a dual battery setup is if you want to run something with the jeep off.
When I camp I carry a extra battery to run my fridge overnight.
I hook it up with the jumper cable in the morning for about 10 minutes and its good for another day.

I would rather have two batteries hooked into my jeep, than lug an extra around. I'm rigging up an extra battery to my pop up camper as well. I can't get the die hard batteries but I can get deep cycles from Canadian tire.

Having 2 in the jeep and 2 on my pop up will give me enough power for what I need. I'm also looking into the goal zero system too.

I know one deep cycle battery would be fine but i would rather have the option to boost myself should I run into a sticky situation and/or be able to eventually run an ARB fridge while camping.
