Default Dual battery setup

Okay, so i was thinking, and i think i have an idea for the dual battery dilemna.

Ripp Mods makes a sweet supercharger for the JK, but has anyone looked at where they put the supercharger? the put it basically where the stock battery goes, meaning they had to move the battery, and they did. they moved it to where the stock air box goes. SO, my point is, why not put a second battery where the stock air box goes, keep the stock battery in its place, and just repostion the intake?

heres a pic of the ripp mods set up, i think it may be the solution

Where would you move it to?

Have you seen this?

Or my personal favorite? (This one is expensive)

i have seen to dual battery tray, and its very nice, but i'm sure expensive, i've seen a lot of guys running honda civic intake tubes, i was thinking if theres a way to put the filter on the driver's side using a cheap intake like the civic one, the the space from the stock air box could be used for a second battery. Being that you could keep the stock battery, and add a second matching one there, it would be an affordable way to do it.

however the Dual spiral cell (optimas i think) battery setup is very nice. And putting them in the rear cubby hole is pretty awesome, but very price as you need to enlarge the cubby hole to do it, which means relocating the muffler which i'm not sure if anyone has done on a two door yet. plus the cost off all that 4 guage wire to run back there etc etc. Dont get me wrong, both setups you showed are AWESOME, but i guess i was looking for a more affordable way.

Guess you could just start by trying to figure out where the filter could fit and deal with any heat problems. I'm sure if it was looked at it enough there would be a way. Just seems kind of crowed over there without moving anything.

As far as affordable goes (Can you say that about a Jeep ), I'm thinking the top photo looks real inexpensive if you do it yourself. Just can't be afraid to take a sawzall to the Jeep.

Default under jeep mount

I am having a large closed cell gel battery (120ah) installed in a custom tray up under my 2 door, they are fabricating a custom tray at the moment. Has been done in Western Australia before, its in the location where i have been told many of you relocate a muffler to. I did consider chopping up the rear tool storage box, but it just seemed a bit extreme. i will post some pics when its done

Cheers and beers

It was custom. I know that there was some body cutting to make it fit.
