Ahh crap I forgot about the exit through holes thingy .... scratch that. Custom shop time! Been there and done that on my last mustang. Best thing I ever did!
I want loud! And I don't want drone. Hopefully I like what I come up with. It will look sick coming out the bumper if I can tho

I'd just run a 2.5" system with a short exhaust tip and for the other outlet use the same tip and a dummy pipe. It will serve all of the purpose with none of the downside.

Ya...but then it's poser. No exhaust coming out of the one side. Idk man...I don't do stuff for looks. I really like the way stuff sounds too. My buddy bstelling has the rock crawler dyno max and I'm jealous of the sound. Maybe I'll get it $70 then just run off of it to the end of the jeep with some piping? Instead of dumping it behind the axle? That sounds interesting

Get either the MBRP or dynomax muffler. I'm sure they will sell you just the can. Come straight off the y-pipe like the single exhaust will and put the can in the offroad muffler relocation (so in a 2door under the driver rocker panel) then after the muffler split into 2, 1.75" pipes out the back heading toward the backup light holes. End with big tips.
I really like this idea question tho. If the dynomax wouldn't normally drone....and wouldn't normally loose pressure. Why don't I just run dual 2.5 off it to the end of the rig? Or will that piping change it?

It already would be a poser thing as there is no functional advantage of a dual exhaust on a JK, nor the sound it makes.

That's why I went with an offroad system. Tucked nicely in the frame away from harm and sounds mean as hell!
I run a dynomax rock Krawler. I can tell you that my buddy HAD the MBRP dual tip the same jeep (07 2 door). Long story short, we were wheeling and he went up a rock and couldn't get up the very top, he backed down the trail to get more momentum and when he did so, both tips folded backwards under his jeep and it ripped every hanger out to the headers and also cracked the seal they have on the headers to the down pipe to the exhaust. This was the FIRST wheeling trip he made with the new exhaust. After we wrenched for about 2 hours to get the mangled cat back off, he took it to a shop and they charged him $250 to fix the leak in the headers and put the stock system back on. He was pissed! IMO, if your are going to wheel, DO NOT buy a dual tip system. I've seen the failure first hand! You will end up spending a whole lot of extra money and going to a single outlet or rock krawler kit!

Where you notice the low end losses is when you change the hot section, or heads and cats. That's why headers are built and tuned using a dino.

This would mean you could most likely run 2.5 after the exhaust cans all the way out back with both pipes, but I would run the same size as the crossover and y-pipe exit from the y at least to the exhaust can.

Someone please chime in. I know I've read this somewhere.
I know that if you have a muffler with 2 2.5 pipes. The exhaust goes out to quickly and won't be back pressured enough. I'm guessing the same would be on the dynomax if I did that. I wonder if adding pipe to the dynomax would change the sound? It probably will. Haha I could do the dyno max under my rig then just hang the Gibson at the back end without any pipe to it and be really poser hahahaha

Which sounded better honestly? Your dynomax rock Krawler? Or his mbrp?

Haha as poser as it would be. If I did a rock crawler muffler then just put the dual at the end I could remove it to wheel. Haha
