Default Dual Steering stabilizer

I purchased a 2013 JK recently to start messing around with. Vehicle is in great condition and previous owner had quite a bit done to it. I noticed today the RC dual steering stabilizer that’s installed is crooked on the drivers side. Not bent but noticeably not aligned with the other. Is this something that can be put back in place or a bad stabilizer?

Welcome to JK Forum. This is a modification not needed. Makes steering response very stiff and sluggish.. Jeeps come from the factory with 1 stabilizer.. IMO I'd remove it and hope that both were not installed to "MASK death wobble". Tell more about your ride= Lift, Tires and Wheels, Miles.

totally agree with Jay. I'd say i don't know why people put these dual stabilizers on in the first place, but I do know why.....they don't understand how all this stuff works. In a perfect world, everything in the jeep's steering and geometry is spot on and a stabilizer is the most minimal component that just keeps a little harmony in the system. These dual stabilizers are the equivalent of two sumo wrestlers pushing against each other and not accomplishing anything really. They mask problems when they occur and just lead to larger issues. I'd remove it all together and if you want a stabilizer, then get something cheap like a teraflex 9550 VSS or a factory unit.....something that is NOT gas chargedd.

Thank you for the response. The jeep has 86,000 miles. RC 3.5 lift kit. Fuel Rims with 37x12.50 17 Klever RT new. Here’s a pic of what I’m describing.

FYI, that kit is notorious for using a drop pitman arm that creates a lot of poor steering issues. IDK if that jeep has one, but RC 3.5" lift often includes that. You might take a look up there at the top of the drag link. the drop pitmans are easy to spot cuz it's a comical drop on that thing relative to factory. It's a common thing to do on pickups but terrible on these wranglers. Should always raise the axle side of things rather than lowering the frame side.

Not a clear picture of the right side where that SS is mounting. can't see why it's twisted. I'd say that I would want that straight, but i can't cuz I wouldn't want that on at all
