Default Dual Steering Stabilizer Setup: Which do you prefer?

So I am pulling the trigger on a Fortec Dual Steering Stabilizer setup before this weekend is over, but am trying to decided whether I want to go with their Fox or Bilstein option. After reading countless threads on what might be the better option, I have come to the conclusion that which ever has the better set of seals is the one I will go with. Little rocks that hit the shafts while traveling down the road nick them up, and over time will cause premature wear on the seals. Bottom line, which do you think will last longer? I know Fox sticks by their product and may replace the shock if a seal goes bad, but will Bilstein do the same? As a premium shock company, I think they would but maybe someone with past experience could chime in on that!

Also, I am thinking that the Fox setup is going to give the steering a firmer feel as they tend to be stiffer than Bilsteins. Would love a little feedback on that as well if possible!

Jeep® Lift Kits - Bilstein - BIL 24-158428-2 - FORTEC® Exclusive Bilstein Dual Stabilizer Kit for 07-up Jeep® Wrangler JK and other Jeep Wrangler Parts, Jeep Accessories and Soft Tops by FORTEC

Finally, please keep all SS comments to yourself. Yes, I know you do not want to use a SS to cover up other issues, blah blah blah. I chose this mod mainly because of its appearance attributes. My stock SS is in perfect order along with the rest of my steering setup, but have always LOVED the look of the dual SS setups.

If there are no issues with the steering already, than I would just go with the cheapest of the two stabilizers. If its all just for the looks, what difference do you plan on making with the more expensive option?

So if you are doing it for looks then pick up the fox ATS or a really nice single SS

I know you want dual but anybody who knows about the JK will always look at you and your rig and give you grief about it until the day you get pissed off and take it off

When I see duals on a JK the first thing comes to mind is that person has no clue about their jeep

Just buy the ones you think look best, since that is your main criteria.

Looks wise, the Fox is one of the better looking ones. Perfomance wise you won't notice much over the stock one.

Bilstein does warrantee seals but by the time you ship it to them and back you could buy a new one.
You may do it for looks but when I see a dual ss set up I think "what an idiot", not "oh cool".
Its your jeep and your money enjoy.

Did anybody bother to read the last line of my post?

I must have no idea what I am doing then. Call the scrap yard and toss the Jeep and order a G wagon. I do appreciate the input though! However, despite the ATS's outstanding performance, it falls a bit short in appearance (to me). I would assume my (soft) AEV lift would turn you off as well, but I did expect these types of posts as a result lol. Regardless, I appreciate an answer none the less and hope prove down the line this upgrade may not fall under the "wtf are you doing" category,

Dirtman, I have read countless threads posted by you and have gained a ton of knowledge along the way, and I greatly appreciate the time you have put into this forum to keep the newbies like me from making the wrong decision. I can see why an experienced offroader and hard core Jeeper can see why this mod may seem like a waste, yet I would like to remind everyone this is a mod strictly for appearance purposes. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Maybe, I am an idiot for "wasting" my money on this mod, and maybe I won't earn the cool factor to the reverends of the forum, but it sure will put a smile on my face when I walking out to my Jeep. I think everyone can at least appreciate that piece of the puzzle.

This is exactly the type of post I was looking for and greatly appreciate you holding back any opinions you may have had. The other posts make me laugh but this post leads me in the correct direction. After lots of contemplating, I think Fox is the route I will be going with.

Regadless of comments, I appreciate everyone's input and hope that I won't piss of anymore Jeepers down the line! I swear this will be the last and only lame mod for the Jeep!

Doesn't Rough Country have a sick looking dual stabilizer setup? Or was it Skycrapper?? Le-git.

I blew up my stock SS and just replaced it with a Fox (for no good reason, just what was available). It's a ton of beef. You're going to want hydro assist to push two of those beasts around. Not sure what size tires you run or if you wheel your Jeep, but that would be a negative.

Since everyone gave an opinion, I'll give mine Dual stabilizers remind me of every d-bag who drives a huge lifted truck with little tires and a triple shock hoop. Hey, you could run a triple shock hoop too!
