Default Due to the recent fires...

...here in SOCal, I am reconsidering my decesion to wait for the Air-Ram attachment on the AEV snorkle. I live in one of the areas that was evac'd and I learned a couple things; ashes can GET BIG! If I had the Air-Ram set up I think I would have had to replace my filter immediately after two days of driving around in the mess. I think the pre-filter would be a much wiser choice in most situations aside from hwy driving in ideal conditions.

Oh, and also...the fact that I carry dust/filter masks in my "boogie bag" paid off 10x over when I got caught near the fires with NO TOP! SO, here's a tip if you drive a lot topless 2 items are mandatory 1) Goggles & 2) A dust mask

I was wishing I'd had a mask last week when I was headed up to hit the Miller Jeep Trail, straight up the 5 through all that stuff, no top or doors. I managed though, guess it was all the years I used to smoke

First, glad to hear you're ok. Second, that's great advice I think for anybody's recovery bag.
